A warm welcome to the Craigellachie website!

Craigellachie is one of the UK's most innovative and exciting Scottish Country Dance bands south of the border. For nearly 20 years they have been playing disciplined Scottish dance music that is both good to dance and listen to, taking pride in their musical arrangements.

On this website you can find out where they are playing, download sound clips and sheet music, and learn more about Craigellachie and its individual members.

New – available from May 21st 2011

Ian Muir and the Craigellachie Band in association with the Berks, Hants & Surrey Borders Branch of the RSCDS are proud to announce the release of their ninth recording - "Three Hands Across".

Two years ago, discussions in BHS Border Branch led the Branch to the conclusion that they should make a contribution to the increasing number of books of Scottish country dances. In response to their invitation they were very pleased to receive a total of 23 dances devised by Branch members. Eight of the dances have originals composed by band members.
